Signed as a young prospect in the summer of 2022, Alfie Burnett joined Forest Green Rovers to bolster the goalkeeping staff and learn from Luke McGee, Lewis Thomas and the goalkeeping coach Dan Connor.
To gain experience and playing time, the 19-year-old has been out on loan with Melksham Town.
Born in Scarborough, he joined the youth setup at York City before catching the eye of Leeds United. He continued as a trainee with Rotherham United before coming to join head coach Ian Burchnall’s side prior to the 2022/23 campaign.
Enthusiastic and full of potential, Alfie comes to Forest Green Rovers hoping to tap into the club’s ambition and growing reputation as we embark on life in EFL League One.
