Michael first met Ian Burchnall when the latter joined Notts County as manager in 2021. A player at the time, he was invited to step up as Assistant Head Coach. His focus shifted to his coaching role and now his knowledge and talent are helping FGR as the club faces the challenges of EFL League One for the first time in its history.

It’s Michael's wide experience at all levels of the English Football League that the Green Devils will be calling upon.

Born in Dublin, Michael came through at Celtic and has represented the Republic of Ireland internationally as a player.

Interesting fact – Like Ian Burchnall, Michael has experienced Scandinavian football. In 2002/02 he played 22 matches for Danish side AGF Aarhus, on loan from Celtic.
