Fast, muscular and aggressive, Josh March has a low centre of gravity and is a poacher in the box. He’s the kind of forward defenders hate playing against, because he shields the ball so well and changes direction so quickly. Even in tight spaces, a ball into Josh’s feet spells danger for the opposition.
During the 2021/22 season, Josh became a favourite with Forest Green Rovers fans, coming on as a substitute to score vital goals. And none was more vital than his strike against Mansfield Town on the final day of the season. Delivering a 2-2 draw on the day, more importantly it handed FGR the League Two title for the first time in club history.

With a tireless work ethic, Josh has put himself into the gaffer’s plans for the 2022/23 season and has regularly started matches across league and cup competitions. His game-winning strike against Accrington has been a notable high point early in the campaign.
Joining the Green Devils during the January transfer window in 2020, Josh was an outstanding marksman for his previous club, Leamington FC. He proved his abilities as a natural goal scorer while coming up through the lower leagues, netting 24 times in 27 games with Leamington before he signed at FGR.
Continuously improving here at the New Lawn, there’s plenty to come from this excellent young striker – you’ll notice that he’s the player who never stops running.
